How Much Longer Will Churches Fail?

Pastors in California have largely failed the flock. It is a sad truth but must be stated, and cannot ever be allowed to happen again. We need to demand and require a higher standard from our spiritual leaders. With a few notable exceptions, California churches have either shut their doors out of fear of State persecution, bowed to the Marxist BLM mob, or both.

When someone becomes a Pastor, and fills that noble office, they are the shepherd of their congregation and the captain of their ship. Backing down in cowardice is not an acceptable option. If a congregation suffers persecution, as all churches have lately, then the Pastor should bear the brunt of that persecution no matter how far it goes. In fact, when a church is under attack from the State, and the Pastor shows boldness for Christ, the congregation will be encouraged to support their Pastor and stand firm in the Faith!

This entire unconstitutional lockdown could have been over in a matter of days if churches had stood firm from the very beginning, but tyranny occurs because people allow it. The reason churches didn't stand for truth from the beginning has truly exposed the sad state that our churches were in, and therefore exposes the state of Christianity in the United States.

Complacency

This Saturday the 26th we are hosting a home Bible study with people we have met through Titus Ministries and studying the timely book of Zephaniah. Complacency among the people of God is unfortunately not a new thing. Zephaniah 1:12 says, "And it shall come to pass at that time that I will search Jerusalem with lamps, and punish the men who are settled in complacency, who say in their heart, ‘The Lord will not do good, nor will He do evil.’" God doesn't want you to "go through the motions" of religious ceremony; He wants your heart. All of it.

The church has turned a corner, and it will likely not come back to how it used to be. The true church of Jesus Christ, the remnant, will continue to serve God. The old "church" will continue to be a social club wavering back and forth with every new demand from government, and virtue signaling whenever CNN tells them to.

Perhaps it is better that way, and perhaps the churches that shut their doors because they feared man more than God should keep those doors closed for good.
